How Super Storage handles your personal data when you visit our website, contact us, or rent a storage unit.
This document is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Dutch version prevails.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is Fastgoed BV, trading as Super Storage, registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number BE 0628.981.850. The storage facility itself is located at Prinsenweg 59, 3700 Tongeren.
For any questions about your personal data, contact info@superstorage.be.
2. What data do we process, and why?
If you rent a storage unit. We process your name, address, email address, phone number, bank details for the direct debit, your rental contract details and your payments. For businesses, also the company name and VAT number. We need this data to perform the rental agreement (Article 6.1.b GDPR) and to meet our accounting and tax obligations (Article 6.1.c GDPR).
Access to the building. You receive a personal access code. The access system logs when that code is used. We do this to secure the building and the belongings of all tenants (legitimate interest, Article 6.1.f GDPR).
CCTV. The building is monitored by cameras both outside and inside, and every storage unit lock is fitted with a camera. We do this to prevent and establish break-ins, theft and vandalism, and to safeguard the safety of tenants and their belongings (legitimate interest, Article 6.1.f GDPR). CCTV is operated in line with the Belgian Camera Act of 21 March 2007: a sign indicating camera surveillance is displayed at the entrances, and the cameras are registered with the police. Footage is kept for a maximum of one month, unless needed as evidence of a crime, damage or nuisance. Only Super Storage has access to the footage, and it is only shared with the police or the courts when necessary.
If you contact us. If you get in touch by email, phone or WhatsApp, we use your name, contact details and message to answer your query (steps taken at your request prior to an agreement, or our legitimate interest in answering questions).
